My best recommended hotels in Niagara Falls for women travellers on any budget
Estimated reading time: 21 minutes
Niagara Falls, Ontario is a wonder of the world, and one of the most popular day trips from Toronto. But if you want to enjoy late-night fun, like fireworks over the falls or a live concert at the casino, you’ll need an overnight stay.
This post on where to stay in Niagara Falls is based on years of visits in all seasons so you’re getting honest advice from someone who has actually been there and wants you to have the best time ever. I’m giving you my top tips for big hotels with fall views, budget motels, and the best of the in-betweens, from the perspective of a woman traveller who has been there many times solo and with groups of girlfriends (and cares about a great hotel pool).

Who This Post is For
- Women looking for hotels in Niagara Falls that are safe and in a great location
- Travellers on a budget who want affordable recommendations they can trust
- Anyone considering whether to stay overnight in Niagara Falls and for how long
First, some Niagara Falls hotel basics
Niagara Falls, Ontario has more than 12,000 hotel rooms. You can imagine then how busy it can get.
High season is when kids are out of school, from June to September, with another bump around Christmas and New Year’s. NYE is extremely busy and hotel prices will spike. If you go in May or October you’ll find fewer crowds (especially during the week) and most attractions are still operating. In the winter, you may get the place all to yourself, and the frozen-over falls can be quite magical.
There’s not much of a “boutique” or design hotel scene here, or any 5-star luxury hotels, but you’ll find quality hotels for all budgets.
Before booking your hotel in Niagara Falls, ask yourself if it’s important for you to see the falls from your room. There are several hotels that offer rooms with stunning views (I’ve listed them below) – but note that “American falls view” is the smaller falls, and “partial falls view” means exactly that, you might catch a bit of the falls but how much is not guaranteed. There are many other room types including “City view” and “River view.”
Niagara Falls is a huge tourist destination and hotels charge a “resort fee” and “tourism marketing” fee on top of the room rates. Parking ranges from free (at most motels) to $100 for valet parking at some hotels, but usually between $20 and $40 per night.
Now, let’s find you an awesome place to stay in Niagara Falls.

Best Hotels with views of Niagara Falls
Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Spa
⭐️ Majestic falls views
⭐️ Full-service spa
⛔️ A bit out-of-way for walking around
⛔️ It’s big. More than 400 rooms on 23 floors.
If you’ve seen a social media post of someone waking up in a hotel bed with a impressive view of the Niagara Falls from a huge window, it was probably taken here. The comfort you expect from a Marriott, and a full on-site spa for massage, facials etc. Guests can pay $60 for an “Oasis pass” to use their outdoor thermal pools, saunas and lounge area. This is a top pick for a solo self-care trip or a romantic getaway.
Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview Hotel & Suites
⭐️ Fallsview Rooms
⭐️ Infinity Pool with views
⭐️ Connected to casino via walkway
⛔️ More than 1000 rooms! Check-in and elevator wait lines can be long.
If you’re visiting Niagara Falls in the winter, or any inclement weather really, you can stay at this Hilton and not have go outside. It has views of the falls (from your room, or the pool, or restaurant), walkways to Fallsview casino, concert venues, a YukYuk’s comedy club, arcade, and excellent restaurants. The place is huge (there are three different towers). The two-bedroom suites are excellent for friends travelling together who each want privacy. Excellent restaurants on site including a Brazilian steakhouse and Italian family style spot, both with live entertainment.

Sheraton Fallsview Hotel
⭐️ Great rooftop pool in summer
⭐️ Attached to Casino, Arcade, Waterpark
⛔️ A bit older, dated décor
Closer to the Clifton Hill action but still with view of the falls, Sheraton is attached to the OG Casino Niagara. Its best feature is a seasonal outdoor pool on the roof with sun loungers and great views. Expect a lot of excited kids coming in from the attached waterpark.
Best Mid-Range Hotels

Holiday Inn Niagara Falls
⭐️Walking distance to the falls
⭐️ Free parking
Across the street from Fallsview casino and the Hilton, this six-story hotel is a good home base for exploring the falls and attractions near the falls. Some rooms have balconies. Outdoor pool in the summer, small indoor pool and sauna year-round. More affordable than the biggest hotels but more comfort and security than a motel so good for solo women travellers.
Travelodge by Wyndham Niagara Falls at the Falls
⭐️Closest to Clifton Hill fun
⭐️Outdoor pool
There are two Travelodges in Niagara Falls. This one is located right on Clifton Hill and is surrounded by arcades, haunted houses, fast food, etc. All rooms have mini fridge and microwave. Some two-bedroom suites available. Seasonal outdoor pool.
Travelodge by Wyndham Niagara Falls Fallsview
⭐️Falls views on a budget
This larger Travelodge is beside the river. Some rooms have fall views, and some have balconies. Small indoor pool year-round.
Best Boutique Hotels in Niagara Falls

Sterling Inn and Spa
⭐️Contemporary design
⭐️Full-service spa on site
⛔️ No view of the falls
One of the only design-focused hotels in Niagara Falls, I recommend this for more upscale couples and foodie friends. It’s not a typical “inn” and nothing like a big hotel chain tower so a good recommend for more sophisticate visitors. Fairly close to Clifton Hill, not very close to the falls. Their restaurant uses local and seasonal ingredients and is well regarded.
Best Budget Motels and Inns

Quality Hotel Fallsview Cascade
⭐️ Very close to the falls
⭐️ Breakfast included
A step up from what you expect from this price point, and . Basic and clean rooms over seven floors, with an indoor pool, breakfast included (a rarity in Niagara) and free parking including bus/RV parking.
Kings Inn Near The Falls
Sure “near” the falls is relative; don’t think you’ll get any kind of falls view. But it’s clean, friendly, the parking is free and there’s a seasonal outdoor pool.
The Cadillac Motel
Old-school Niagara Falls in this retro themed motel inspired by 50s and 60s style. Great value and fun. Free parking for all cars, not just Cadillacs.
Looking for a quiet stay in a traditional B&B? Niagara Falls has several beautiful, historic family-run homes away from the nightlife and tourist attractions along the river. Check out Bedham Hall or Niagara Grandview.
